As the Conservative Political Action Conference comes to a close, it’s time to announce the results of its annual presidential poll.
Despite recent surges of Governors Jeb Bush and Scott Walker, Senator Rand Paul has won the poll for the third year in a row:

IJReview asked CPAC attendee Skyler DeAngelo why he thought the libertarian-leaning Senator has made such a big impact in the conservative wing of the Republican Party:
“I think Rand Paul won because he presents a united vision that appeals to both older and younger generations of conservatives and libertarians by strongly supporting our founding principles, while understanding the need for more progress in protecting individual liberties.”
The youth of CPAC has been the energy behind his massive support at the conference and their increased numbers have been showing. Another youth attendee, Olivia Valentine, was asked why Rand Paul has such a devoted youthful backing:
“It should become obvious that the only way for the GOP to win in 2016 is to follow the footsteps of liberty. Rand Paul is the only viable candidate to do just that, and it’s time for the GOP establishment to wake up and realize that it is the youth movement that will be the new face of the party one day.”
According to Real Clear Politics, Scott Walker is the frontrunner:
