While at the 2015 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, Sarah Palin spoke with The Blaze, discussing many different topics, ranging from future runs for elected office to her TV show. Amazing America. She declined to say whether she had any intention to run in 2016. But she did offer some sharply worded advice for the Republican Party.
“I’m not going to talk politics except to say the GOP had better go on offense. Man, they are not going to win any game on defense,” she told TheBlaze. “Being in the majority there in D.C. — we’re blowing it if we just bend our back.”
She added, “That GOP leadership, that establishment, they’ve got to get their stuff together. I love what they believe in, I believe in it too. But they’ve got to get tough, man. You know what? It’s not just the New England Patriots who are dealing with deflated balls right now.”
The former governor from Alaska has never been one to mince words with those she doesn’t agree with, or to steer clear of controversy.
Just a month ago, Palin was in battle with the animal rights group PETA over a picture of her young son standing on their family dog. Palin was able to wring a truce out of the organization with a few clever quips and some research.
If the Republican Party responds to Palin’s comments, they might want to keep in mind her handy win over PETA’s attempt to discredit her.
