Now that the news of her email controversy has been thoroughly disseminated among the public, Congress is set to open an investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private server during her time as Secretary of State.
Jonathan Karl of ABC News quipped on-air about Clinton’s new predicament leading up to the 2016 presidential election. The Washington Free Beacon reports:
“’She will be asked to testify not once, but twice before Congress, once on the emails, a second time on Benghazi—in other words, you could have more appearances before Congress from her during her primary campaign than you have presidential debates,’ Karl said.”
Even some of the most unlikely figures have speculated on the reasons for mysteries surrounding the deletion of 30,000 emails, including long-time Bill Clinton supporter James Carville:
In addition to the mounting allegations against her, Clinton’s crumbling claims and lackluster performance at the press conference are likely to be key talking points at the congressional hearing.
