Jon Voight, a long-time supporter of Israel and Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, recently released an ad that publicly voices his support for the Jewish state.
In the video, Voight also criticizes President Obama’s policies as ones that enable Israel’s enemies.
“I want to see Israel survive and not be overtaken by the madmen of this world,” Voight said. “President Obama does not love Israel. His whole agenda is to control Israel. And this way he can be friends with all of Israel’s enemies… America has not been the same since his presidency.”
Needless to say, Voight is not a fan of endless capitulation and concessions to Israel’s dedicated enemies.
“Those like Yitzhak Herzog who believe that dealmaking is the solution to what Israel faces are as wrong as Neville Chamberlain believing he made a peace deal with Hitler,” said Voight about Netanyahu’s opposition. “We must learn from history where the true danger lies.”
The relationship between Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Obama has been strained over the past six months due to a difference in approach of Middle Eastern policy.
It’s rare that celebrities openly disagree with Obama and his policies, but Voight certainly wasn’t afraid to voice his foreign policy opinions on a national stage.
